As a believer, believing every word of the Bible is very important. You have to know that there is no grey zone; you either believe all or do not believe at all! Many times, for example; when trials, temptations or tribulations befalls a believer, the only arsenal of victory is the word of God. Knowing it, believing it and accepting and speaking it is enough for your victory.
If you are a Christian, the first lesson to learn in the church is faith. Faith tells us that God is faithful! This is to say that God will not renig on what He says. As a Christian, Jesus says in Luke 22:11 that we should have faith in God. Why? Because God is God; unchangeable, immovable, all-powerful, all-knowing, able to fulfill, ready to defend, is not intimidated by anybody, ever strong, all-loving, holy and merciful. With these attributes, we are commanded to be loyal, attentive, and obedient to Him.
The greatest access to any believer is the word of God. According to John, the word of God is God (John 1:1). So, in the absence of any proof, you can confirm any persons word, actions, and character using the word of God. As a tool for empowerment, if you do not know it, or refuse to be trained (the Holy Spirit), you will see, hear and touch without understanding and belief. This is spiritual blindness.
Do you see yourself with God’s eyes? For example, God says “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.” (1 Peter 2:9, 10 NIV) This scripture is a splendid offer of grace from God. He wants you to know that you are His child, regardless what your shortfalls are or were, so long as Jesus Christ is your Savior, you are His. Amen. Anything, person, or word that tells you otherwise, is the voice of the enemy.
Jesus says that;
(1). “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltines, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
(2). “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven”. (Matthew 5:13-16 NIV).
When your heart is aligned with God’s heart, you can season the broken-hearted, troubled relationships, wounded spirits, encourage others, offer support, brighten people, and shine within all spots of darkness. Salt can only season food to taste. If over used, the food becomes useless. Salt has restrictions. You cannot expose salt to water, or you ruin the whole bag. The same goes for you. Sin is like water in a bag of Salt. In our lives, sin can ruin our relationship with God. It can make us not believe Him, or His word.
As a light, God gave us the power to dominate our environment, enemies, and problems. Light shines through darkness, and regardless how little the light is, the darkness disappears. Believing God’s word is faith. You need it to elevate yourself to the position God has carved for you. Do not be ignorant, God is not a man. If you get His word, you get his promise. It is personal, and only you can claim it for yourself before it can work for you.
Do you have doubts? Is there anything that tells you that God is not able? Are you faithful? Well, I will only say to you, says the Lord, “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:9-11 NIV)
KEY: You must contend to obey God, for you are more than a conqueror. Stay in God’s word and strength, then you can resist the enemy. “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31 NIV)
Scripture of the day: For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. ~ (Hebrews 4:12 KJV)
