Daily Devotional: Take Courage

Acts 23:11,12 NIV
“The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said, “Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.” The next morning some Jews formed a conspiracy and bound themselves with an oath not to eat or drink until they had killed Paul.
What is bothering you? (Foreclosure, doctor’s report, loss of job, financial disaster, etc.)  Do you see yourself going through tougher times even after God has promised you a better life? What about that dream or Rhema word you heard from God? Trusting God’s word is vital even when it seems as though things are getting worse. God is always faithful to His promises. ALWAYS!  He will take care of you.
The Apostle Paul was promised a fruitful ministry. The pursuit of his enemies to kill him did not hinder his mission. He continued to preach that salvation is based on faith. During his captivity in Philippi, he prayed and praised God. Miraculously, he was freed. Consider Paul as your example.  In this life, you have to make God your only source of hope. Note that man will fail you (always), so why put your trust in brothers, sisters, friends, co-workers, etc.  Most of these people envy you anyway! Would you rather depend on those that compete angrily with you or depend on God who will never leave you or forsake you. Take courage, stay on the path of testimony and your success will find and overtake you, in Jesus Name, Amen.
Scripture of the day: The name of the LORD is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. ~ Proverbs 18:10 (NIV)
