Daily Devotional: Faith that works

Romans 10:16, 17 NKJV
“But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “ Lord , who has believed our report?” So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
“Faith is a substance of things hoped for, an evidence of that not seen” (Hebrews 11:1) Everyday, people of the same race, color, religion, and creed disagree on many things and the reason is attached to their beliefs. In our churches, some people disagree with their pastor simply because the week’s sermon did not give them reason to shout ‘Hallelujah!’ Some even said that the pastor’s sermon was directly related to them, due to a friend disclosing their personal life. Know that God is greater than our hearts, and nothing is hidden from Him. “Lord, who has believed our report?” the prophet asked.
Are you one of the Christians that go to church or read the Bible without believing what you hear or read? Or, do you pick and choose what you which to obey? Your pastor is just a messenger. He is Man. He should not be held accountable if your faith is not strengthened. You must believe the word, Live the word. The word of God is the absolute truth.
The mass media has the tendency to drown out the word of the God. You must not be distracted.  Don’t indulge in everything the mainstream world has to offer, especially if it’s not related to your beliefs. Protect your mind and your children’s mind.  Friendship to the world is enmity to God!  Do you know that you are molded by what you hear, see and think?
To increase your knowledge of God and His love, you have to constantly listen to the word, walk in God’s will and fellowship with God’s people. When you build up yourself in the manner of God’s will, then his will, ways, and blessings will dwell in you. Your faith will increase and nothing shall be impossible with you. Without the word of God, you are faithless, and without faith, miracles will not take place. Without faith, it is impossible to please God, and with faith, you can speak to the mountain to move, and it shall obey you!!  Change your audio intake today and see what the Lord can do. Not only will you be empowered, your life will be transformed if Christ (the Word) dwells in you! When this happens, every stronghold in your life will cease to exist, and the glory of the Lord will protect you.  Don’t wait another day, change the game. May the strength of the Lord be with you. Amen.
Scripture of the day: Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. ~ 1 John 2:15 (NIV)
