Psalm 128:1 NIV
“Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him.”

The Bible established that the fear of the Lord (God) is the beginning of wisdom.  Wisdom is not fearing God but a gift of God to those that fear Him. (Proverbs 2:6) Again, having the fear of God without obedience to His commandments is foolishness, because in obedience God leads and blesses His people. The word ‘Blessed’ means to be highly favored, saved, blessed with substances, good health, increase and multiplication, empowered, honored, established, forgiven, etc. When a person is blessed, the fear of the future is non-existant!  Satan fears God, but still works to make His word a lie!.  Though you know God, if you do not obey Him, you are not His own.

David in Psalm 23 expressed his joy that ‘The Lord was his shepherd’. In verse 4, he declared that ‘though he walks in the valley of the shadows of death, he will not fear’ Why? He declared, ‘the Lord was with him.’  This is a blessing! Have you taken some time to think about your relationship with the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ? Are you confused about His ways and teachings? Do you still think this is a myth?  Do not be fooled! His death gave you life, and His grace is greater than all your sins. Accept the grace and forgive yourself. Push hard, push forward, He has set you free, “for whom the son sets free, is free indeed!!”

This is the message, “The word became flesh, and dwell among men.”   But as many as received him,  to them gave he  power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” ( John 1:12)

Here are the benefits for any child of God that fears and obeys God:
(1). You will eat the fruit of your labor
(2). blessings and prosperity will be yours.
(3). Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house
(4). your children will be like olive shoots around your table.
(5). The Lord will bless you from Zion;
(6). You will see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life.
(7). You will live to see your children’s children (Psalm 128:2, 3, 5, 6 NIV)

The news you hear today on the television and radio might have a contrary view of these eternal blessings, but the truth remains…God swore to these blessings and it only belongs to all His faithful children! What are you going to do differently today? You are not denied! You have to receive by faith. May God guide you to your blessings, in Jesus name, Amen.

Scripture of the day:  Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all my commands always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever! ~ Deuteronomy 5:29
