Daily Devotional | Hinderance In Prayer

Mark 11:25, 26 NKJV
“And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.”

In today’s microwave society, many believers have ‘fallen asleep’ simply because they did not know, acknowledge, or master the word of God. Prayer itself is a commandment of God (1 Thessalonians. 5:17). Prayer is when and where we as the children of God petition our concerns to God. Since our God is holy (only Him), it means that through obedience, we can receive whatever we ask of Him! It is Awesome to know that your God is a COVENANT keeping God, who is faithful in all His ways!!

“And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses, But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.” Forgiving others is a very powerful spiritual key to receiving from God. As well as, receiving your own forgiveness from God. When you are before God with un-forgiveness in your heart, you  reject wisdom. When God ask you to forgive others, He is simply asking you to allow Him to be God; the God of justice, deliverance, vengeance, and God of all that you need.

Why do you hinder and stop your prayers? Why are you bitter over something that has already happened? Why do you want to fight the war against those stronger than you, while God is waiting for you to turn it over to Him? In practical Christianity (I believe and testify), reading and believing the Holy Bible is the way to win your battle! Jesus said, “Have faith in God” (Mark 11:22 NIV) Do you believe that every word of the bible is a breath of God? If you believe this, your miracle is next to you, but if you do not believe, you MUST have to before it can work for you!

Jesus said, “Do not let your heart be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.” (John 14:1 NIV). Remember that “In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the WORD WAS GOD” (John 1:1 NIV)

Today, make it a top priority to call someone who hurt or offended you. Tell them that you forgive them! Though you may never cross paths again… you have just set yourself free from God’s verdict. Start again to make those prayers that have long been made without answers! There must be a testimony!! Un-hindered prayer is a reconciled prayer, i.e., prayer made according to the will of God. As Jesus gave His blood on the cross to reconcile us (me and you) to God, He did not do anything wrong, or committed any sins (Isaiah 53:3-9) He said, “This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins” (Matthew 26: 28 NIV). Read, Repent, Pray, Receive! Remain blessed.

Scripture of the day: Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. ~(Colossians 4:2)
