Acts 13:26 NKJV
“Men and brethren, sons of the family of Abraham, and those among you who fear God, to you the word of this salvation has been sent.” So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

Salvation is to be saved from sin. To be saved, you must personally accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and ask Him into your life. When you do this, He (God) will release the gift of the Holy Spirit –God in us, who will empower your adoption as a child of God (John 1:12). Rejecting Jesus Christ is self-condemnation, meaning unsaved. An unsaved person when he/she dies, will go to hell, eternally separated from God the Judge. “For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us… rather  awake or asleep, we should live together with Him.” (1 Thessalonians 5:9, 10 NKJV)

In today’s religious practices, most people believe that good deeds (being nice and giving gifts to the needy) can save. That is not true! “If we are judged for a good deed  done  to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel (Christians), that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified (you reject), whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. This is the  ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’  Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:9-12)   This does not mean that we can not do good to others. As a believer, doing good is the fruit of the Holy Spirit, but does not substitute your Savior, Jesus Christ. He died that you may live. Amen.

An example is a discussion Christ had with Zacchaeus;  ‘Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold.” And Jesus said to him,  “Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:8-10 NKJV). From this, you will note that to make Christ your Lord and Savior, you have to repent first, then allow the Lord to vindicate you. Zacchaeus read the law, obeyed the law and met with the author of the law for approval. We all know the truth about ourselves. Take a moment to tell yourself the bitter truth, and God will approve you!  No religious practices, human being or other name can save. “Jesus answered and said to him,  “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered,  “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. (John 3:3-5 NKJV)

To be born of water is to read the word of God, The Holy Bible.  Allow the word to guide you through all you do. It is when you obey the Word, the Holy Spirit will dwell in you. Since He is God the third, He guides us, teaches us, and empowers us. He can not be wrong! Water baptism is an act, a symbolism of public declaration, but the real act is in the obedience. Are you born again? If not, what are you waiting for? [ We can help]

Sometimes the devil (the enemy of your blessings), tries to convince you that you will lose something by serving God! Lies!! “For God  is  not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name,  in that  you have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. (Hebrews 6:10-12 NKJV)
Are you willing to take the bold step?  Now is your time. God bless you as you obey.

Scripture of the day: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. ~ Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)
