Daily Devotional | I Am Free!!!

John 8:36 KJV
“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
I am free is the song of the saved. The Son has set me free indeed! In today’s world, you have seen or heard many people tell their stories… Some were pitiful, others were hilarious. The fact remains that freedom is not free! It requires your sacrifice, time and agreement.
To be saved is to have faith that after now, you will see God, have an eternal home where all that frightens men will not present itself. To be saved is to proclaim, acknowledge and serve Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Apart from this WAY, there is no way.
A saved person is the person whose Salvation is from Christ. The Bible says that; “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12 NIV) To have Salvation is to be free, and be saved.
WHAT IS SALVATION?: Salvation is the key through which God revealed Himself through Jesus Christ, and offered to save those from sin, and to those that believes and received His gift. The Bible says that; “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:” (John 1:12 NKJV) This means that this gift and mission to save and free us from death and sin is for everybody! Do not be deceived, you are part of it too, and do not let anyone brainwash you out of this freedom, regardless your sin. Remember that “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” (Galatians 5:1 NIV) “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 NIV)
Are you saved? Or are you still playing church? I must be open to you, and tell the truth. God is tired of ‘church people’! God wants people who will receive His gifts without limits. Are you sure you are free?
Salvation involves three primary missions. God wants to;
(1). RESCUE YOU: By this means, the death of Christ on the Cross was fulfilled. To be rescued, you have to personally accept the gift of God, Jesus Christ, Savior nod Redeemer. When you do this, you are saved. At this point, the fear of death, judgement of God and eternal separation from God, is non-existent. Heaven is taken care of. Now you will feel your freedom, hope and peace. Watching the United States of America rescuing their entrapped soldier at war is the best way to explain this. The soldier that refused the instructions of the commanding officer is left, killed or captured. God have sent His Son to rescue us from the powers of Satan, but you have to make the declaration. Are you free?
(2). THE REVIVAL: Genesis chapter 3 narrates the fall of man, Adam and his wife, Eve. As Satan deceived them, (and still deceives us), the plan of salvation began. At this point, God set Himself to another name, Jesus Christ, to separate the ‘water from the waters’ (Gen. 1:6). This revival mission was completed as soon as Christ died on the cross. The Spirit of Power, the Holy Spirit was released upon the believers (Acts 1:8). They became aware of the gifts of God (1 Cor. 12:1-11), they began to use it as commanded by God (Mark 16:20). Salvation or freedom in Christ gave us back the Spirit of God lost to sin. “And with that he (Jesus) breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.” (John 20:22, 23 NIV). This is the revival, the eternal seal and re-bonding with God. Amen. Again, using the case of the United States military rescue mission, as the soldier is rescued, the doctors, nurses and dietitians begin to work on them. The same is happening here through the Holy Spirit, pastors, prophets etc. God’s revival or salvation will always aim at good spiritual health. A renewal of the individual person’s heart is the target. WHY? If you have a sound mind, you will appreciate God, His Gifts and the life you have. Are you revived?
(3). RESTORATION: Since God does not see the rescued sinner anymore, but the rescuer, Jesus Christ, we become restored to Him. This is the Amazing Grace that only God gives. During this time, He sanctified, justifies and empowers us as His children. The world might say all sorts of things against us, but in God’s eyes, we are holy, set apart and righteous. In Romans 5:10,11 it says, “For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.”. Is this not awesome?
In today’s devotional, I want you to ask yourself one question, If Christ shall come today, are you going to be with Him?
Don’t be fooled anymore. Heaven and Hell are real. “”Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.” He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.(Revelation 22:12-14, 16, 20 NIV) “So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” (Matthew 13:49, 50 KJV)
Remain blessed, stay focused and be connected. Amen.
