Daily Devotional | Healed Through Forgiveness

Luke 17:3,4
So watch yourselves. “If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them. 4 Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.”

Dear friends, searching through the entire scriptures, I finally came to this conclusion; ‘To receive a perfect healing, we must, not as a choice but as a law, learn to live a forgiving life. A forgiving life is a life that looks beyond people, understands that in the image and likeness of God, that a man is incapable of perpetrating evil as to hurt another.

Jesus started this way; “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). Firstly, the will of God is that we love one another (1 John ), and perfect Love destroys all fears (1 John 4:18 ). When we desire the Kingdom of God to dwell with us, it is therefore very urgent to fulfill here on earth God’s desires. With love, it is possible to forgive the one that wronged you, let it go and spare yourself the bitterness of un-forgiveness. This leaves God totally in charge of your obstacles, battles, vengeance, vindication, your life.

Knowing fully well that the devil roars around, looking for a child of God to devour, you then have to know his tactics. Satan hates peace; peace in your heart, in your homes and in your life. That is why he (Satan) recruits people to cause you pain. The KEY is to do what Christ did; call on your Father (God), wait on your Father and trust in the decisions of your Father. Doing this fulfills the scriptures, “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen” (Matthew 6:13). Acknowledging that the Kingdom, Power and Glory belongs to God, is an eternal testimony, the highest praise and total surrender to His majesty. In this window, healing will take place, and a complete revival of all situations.

The surrender for God to be God, empowers Him to supply your daily needs, forgives you for all your sins against Him, and your fellow humans, and rekindle your internal joy. “And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors” (Matthew 6:12). For your sins to be forgiven you, you have to forgive those that offends you. This is where most believers are not fully healed. Some of us chose to forgive some, and keep some! This is the reason a lot of believers have worn MASKS for years, and their relationship with God has grown cold. Friends, lack of forgiveness in your heart is  spiritual suicide. It depletes anointing, and limits the Holy Spirit from completely performing His duty.

“For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses” (Matthew 6:14,15). When you decide to let all wrongs done to you go to God, then, God will not only heal you completely, but also give you His faithful justice. The bible says that anyone that is used by the devil to hurt his child will be punished, and that we will surely be offended

All evil comes from Satan, and in all cases, people are the agents for evil. As a believer, you should not only fight evil, but also fight that you will not be part of evil.

A happy spirit is the spirit that reveres God. That spirit is a powerful spirit, not letting go against the word of its establishment. Such is a healthy spirit, ready to overflow to others. A happy spirit is a happy person, trustworthy in all he does. Such is a wise man, believing God in all His ways.

Healing is children’s bread, and God is willing to give it to all that listens to His commands. You can truly be healed today, if you can forgive those that who offend you. Receive Christ as your Lord and Savior. Remember,  then “But He  was  wounded for our transgressions,  He was  bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace  was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5 NKJV)

Readers, remember “If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.” (James 4:17 NIV)

Lesson for today is: Forgive, forgive, forgive, …

May God Bless you abundantly today, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Scripture of the day: “But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings; And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves.”  ~ (Malachi 4:2 NKJV).
