Psalm 1:1-3 NIV
“Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.”See it at YouVersion.com: http://bible.us/Ps1.1.NIV
The Word Blessing is an attribute, a gift of God to those that loves Him, and lives according to His ordinances. In the real since, a blessing is not just the physical materials or an aggrandizement of material resources, but also includes all divine release of longevity, wealth, good health, happy lives, stable growth, fear free lives and continuity, which is the ability to pass good things onto the offspring. A Blessing is an inheritance, not just a one time generational exposure. The Bible say that “The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.” (Proverbs 10:22 NKJV), so it is important to re-evaluate all those things we have that is wearing us down; Is it really a gift of God?
Living in the blessings of God brings a well of joy, drives away the fear of tomorrow and
empowers pursuit. This is to say with all vehemence that “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” (Psalm 23:1 NKJV). This does not mean that you will not be engaged in your daily chores, or starting a new business, planning and setting goals. Whatever you find yourself doing, be mindful that you are not in-charge, God IS. This releases you from all attacks, upsets and obstacles that might fall upon you. Through prayers, you are certainly re-assured that one way or the other, your God will take care of you. Amen.
Living in the blessings of God includes, among many, the salvation, salvaging and re-uniting us with God the Father. According to King David, “Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit.” (Psalm 32:1, 2 NKJV). Having a vivid understanding that we are saved by grace, not by ourselves, from sin and death, this is called a blessing! God’s gift of forgiveness is the greatest sacrifice, the death of His Son, Jesus. Again, being alive to hear the gospel that changed us is a blessing.
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance. “(Psalm 33:12 NKJV). When the people are not living in the blessings of the Lord, the nation is also denied. This is to say that the nation that does not know God is cursed. When God is removed from any nation, things are bound to go very wrong. We have seen many countries suffer financial setbacks along with other affliction. This did not come out of the blue! When various lifestyles began to filter into the main stream of governments, God’s power became obsolete.
As a believer, it is mandated that you have trust in the Lord. This is not done in the physical mite of a man, but spiritually done by faith. “Blessed is that man who makes the Lord his trust, And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.” (Psalm 40:4 NKJV). When you trust the Lord, His word will instruct your daily walk, decisions and actions. You can not go wrong, and besides, you will succeed where others fail. Amen.
Do you live in the blessings of the Lord? If not, why? Do you know that God has a plan for your success? Are you happy where you are today? If there is anything in your life you want changed, what will it be? I want you to think deeply about these questions, and biblically answer them. The answers will definitely Change your life.
You can change your destiny by changing whatever you do that is not according to the will of God. God has a better plan than we can ever imagine, and is waiting for us to call or come to Him faithfully.
The key to unlocking the gate of life in God’s blessing is to abide in His word. It says, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” (Joshua 1:8 NKJV). That’s the key. Start today, and blessings will find and overtake you. Stay Blessed, in Jesus Name, Amen.
Scripture of the day: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:11-13 NKJV).
