Daily Devotional | Making The Decision That Matters

John 3:18 NKJV
“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
More often than not, it is the information that controls a decision, not the place, time or age. Over the years, I have ran into old and young people who still thinks that Jesus is just a Jew, and for that reason, have ignored the essence of His coming, ‘To save sinners from sin.’

Making the decision that matters is a metaphor of expression, and a question that you must have to answer alone, regardless what society, friends or family thinks.

What is your end going to look like? Do you know where you are going after you die? Do you believe in Christ as Lord and Savior? Do you know what the Bible says about you, Christ and life after death?

Well, I am here to supply a few vital, biblical verses that will be rewarding if you apply them.

First, I want to start by giving you the revelation about Jesus Christ. As it is today, many religions, and pagans alike have not only rejected Him, but have said (and still is saying) many negative things about Him. Let us take a journey here;

1. We all believe that God created the heavens and the earth… Or let me put it this way, Who created all things? Do you believe that? If yes, then you are right. If your answer is no, well, you must become a believer in the word. The Bible said, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness  was  on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, Let there be light; and there was light” (Genesis 1:1-3 NKJV). Are we on the same page? God created all things. This should be the foundation of our conversation; Who is God? What is God’s name? And, would you know Him when He reveals Himself….?

2. God’s name was revealed to man for the first time as God who can show Himself in any form; God eternal, without beginning or end. Moses asked God, “What is his name? what shall I say unto them? And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM:” (Exodus 3:13,14). Until Jesus Christ came, we as children of God have not seen God’s image, except ourselves that we’re made in His image and likeness (Genesis 1:26-27). This represents the Hebrew noun ‘Elohim’. Regardless how God was revealed to Abraham, Isaac or Jacob, it was still not clear until the actual birth of Christ (Luke 2:1-20).

According to Revelation 12, every effort was made by satan, Through Pharoah, Harod and other kings, to stop this salvation for all men, but it failed! Amen.

3. The popular claims of Jesus Christ while here on earth completed the prophesies, revealed the real God and fulfilled the entire scriptures. Let’s analyze this together.

A. “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture” (John 10:9 NKJV). The door, where does that lead to? But the point is the phrase, ‘I AM’

B. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep” (John 10:11 NKJV). The story told here is that only Christ can tolerate our sinful nature. This establishes that only in Christ is the GRACE of God revealed. As a Shepherd, Christ provides all our daily needs. Again, the phrase ‘I AM’

C. “And Jesus said to them, I AM the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst” (John 6:35 NKJV). Bread is for hunger. As the bread of life, Christ is here to satisfy our hungers; spiritual and physical. What are you hungry for? Only God can give it freely.

D. “Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life” (John 8:12 NKJV). As the Light, only God is the light or maker of lights (Genesis 1:3). Only God can deliver us from sins (darkness), and for that to happen in your life, you must make that decision today by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord, Savior and God.

E. “Jesus said to her,  I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live” (John 11:25 NKJV). To be resurrected means to nullify death. Death through Jesus is destroyed. Do you want to live forever? Believe in Jesus Christ.

F. “Jesus said to him,  I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6 NKJV). Where do you want to go? Jesus is the way. Receiving Christ leads to heaven, rejecting Him leads to hell (John 3:17-18). What do you want to know? Jesus is the answer. Since freedom is locked in the truth, Jesus is the truth. Do you want to live? Run to Jesus. Only He died and rose again, so walking with Him gives you all that He enjoyed.

G. “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser” (John 15:1 NKJV). As the True Vine, only branching from Jesus Christ can make us productive. As God, deeply rooted in wisdom, power and knowledge, it is very good to obey His directives. History confirms that all that forsake Jesus suffered bitterly! Don’t let that be you!

As I conclude, this is the word of Jesus Himself: “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him” (John 14:7 NKJV). This is my whole point. Seeing Jesus is seeing God. His word, life, appearance, power, commandment, home, etc is the same as that of the unseen God. For some of you that’s into religion, the divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ is revealed already. Jesus was before all things, including the founders of every other religion, Abraham, … “Jesus said to them,  Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM” (John 8:58 NKJV).

God bless you as you decide today…

Scripture of the day: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared  Him.” ~ John 1:1-5, 12-14, 18 NKJV
