Daily Devotional | Is Your God A God Of Impossibilities?

Numbers 11:23 GNT
““Is there a limit to my power?” the LORD answered. “You will soon see whether what I have said will happen or not!””

As a Christian, the first statement of the Holy Bible began thus, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth”. (Genesis 1:1 NIV). And the last statement says, “The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen”. (Revelation 22:21 NIV). This translates that without our impute, God made everything we have, and only by His grace shall all that believe in Him, receive their portions.

Have you been in a situation whereby you feel or begin to contemplate God’s ability to fulfill a petition you leveled to Him? Or better, is there anytime you felt that God will not assist you or solve a situation militating you? Are you going through a difficult time that is making you doubt God’s power, presence and might? To you, who is God and what is His limitations? “Is there a limit to my power?” the Lord answered. “You will soon see whether what I have said will happen or not!” (Numbers 11:23). Your answer to this question is actually the answer to all the prayers you have been making.

God left the answer to us. The question is not for Him to answer, but for each and every one of us to give Him answers. That commands the various miracles we receive. I shall hope you agree.

How do you see God? Do you have faith in your answer? Believe me, if you do not have a YES and NO answer, anything outside this is flat wrong. Why? It is either you believe or you don’t!

You must know God as He is; an Almighty, faithful, awesome, loving and covenant God. The scripture says, “”I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed” (Malachi 3:6 NIV). Do you believe that?

God told Joshua to remind the Israelites (His people) to remember Him and what He has done for them. This was as a result of complaining, murmuring and strives. Joshua said, ” For the Lord your God dried up the Jordan before you until you had crossed over. The Lord your God did to the Jordan what he had done to the Red Sea when he dried it up before us until we had crossed over. He did this so that all the people of the earth might know that the hand of the Lord is powerful and so that you might always fear the Lord your God.” (Joshua 4:23, 24 NIV). Is there anything in your life that you believe God is not able to take care of? If yes, you need to repent.

When the Egyptians rose up against God’s people, their leader Moses called on God out of fear but ‘Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on. Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground” (Exodus 14:15, 16 NIV). Do you believe that anything that goes against you as a believer, God is able to deliver you? If you say no, you need to repent.

When death and shame befalls you, remember that there is a God that made all things. He asked me (the prophet Ezekiel , “Son of man, can these bones live?” I said, “Sovereign Lord, you alone know.” Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! (Ezekiel 37:3, 4 NIV).

Are you scared of death, dying or mourning for loved ones? This is God’s design to draw you closer to Him.  You can only die to eternity only if you do not believe in Jesus Christ, who only in Himself is LIFE… (John 14:6). The bible say that not believing in Him is sin, and sin kills. “I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am he, you will indeed die in your sins.” (John 8:24 NIV). Lazarus died but christ rose him up. “… Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” (John 11:43 NIV).

Are you still living in limbo, confused and being trimmed by the media concerning God? That is a form of idolatry. God wants us to know Him, trust Him, believe Him, follow Him and use Him. If God is your creator, but you can not get what you need from Him, the answer speaks for itself.

Is need, lack, finances, success, etc your problem? God who made all things is waiting for you to plug yourself in to Him so that He can bless you. The story of paying taxes was derived to contradict God, but being God that owns all things, He delivered. “But so that we may not cause offense, go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours.” (Matthew 17:27 NIV). Is the pursuit of success making you abandon God, and the things He commands you to do? You need to repent.

SOLUTION: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16 NIV). Anyone who knows that, they can not terminate have hope, and if you have hope, you will not be desperate. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God” (Philippians 4:6 NIV).

Finally, my question is, Are you Born Again? Think about this….

Scripture of the day: “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” ~ Luke 1:37 KJV
