Daily Devotional | Our Health Is God’s Will

Matthew 8:7
And Jesus saith unto him, “I will come and heal him.”

I know it is God’s will for us to live in divine health. God’s Word brings life to our body and health to our flesh—therefore we must abide in it. I know that sickness and disease does not come from God, and it is not part of His plan for our lives. The devil is the one who steals, kills, and destroys. God’s plan for us is abundant life! Let us praise His name!

Jesus healed out of a heart of compassion, and when He died for us He redeemed us from the curse of sickness and disease. He conquered the devil in his own domain and took back all the authority and has given it back to those who believe. We must exercise that authority when we speak the Name of Jesus by faith!

There are four key principles I want us to look at regarding healing:

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”(Hebrews 11:1)

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6)

You must put your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Believe it is healing in the blood of jesus!

“If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.” (Exodus 15:26)

We must live our lives in obedience to God’s will. We can’t receive  the divine healing of God if we are living a life outside of God’s will for us.

“Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

The first thing to do is agree with the Word. Read the scriptures and pray.

Amen means “So be it.” As far as we are concerned, the matter is closed. We just thank God from that point forward. We know if we want results we must not waver. To waver is to doubt which leads to disobedience.

“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:13)

We show our love for Jesus and God by obedience.

If you love me, you will obey what I command. (John 14:15)

Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him. (John 14:21)

Command your body (even your DNA) to come into alignment of the will of God for your life according to 1 John 5:14

Confess that by Jesus’ striped you are healed according to 1 Peter 2:24.

Confess that God is the author and perfecter of your faith according to Hebrews 12:2

Declare in faith that you have been healed by the power of God.

Recite Psalm 121 in faith.

Put on the Armor of God according to Ephesians 6:11-17 so you can stand against the lies of the devil and stand on the word of God for your healing in faith.

If you believe with your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord you will be saved (Romans 10:19). Saved from eternal life in hell, but also saved from sickness, pain, anguish, despair and disease in this life!

Scripture of the day: “Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will healmy people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security.” ~ Jeremiah 33:6
