Daily Devotional | God’s Timing

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven…”

Speaking of timing, We are living out God’s appointed time and boy have we been busy at The Living Word Ministries!! Our 3rd year church anniversary and fundraiser is just eight days away. If you happen to be in the Chicagoland area on August 25th, join us. If not, Please consider supporting us. There is definitely a time to sow and a time to reap. Luke 6:38 declares, “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

We really hope you can make it. In the meantime, read our 280th post and see what we’re about.

Living a victorious life means to live on earth, travail all obstructions, serve Christ and make it to heaven. A ‘Victor’ is a conqueror, a person who lives within the timing of God, and completely submits to His will.

Do you know that everyone who comes into your life, every experience, every trial, all failures and success, conflict…is an invitation to victorious living?

As a believer, God is absolutely in charge of your existence, and whatever He allows is meant as training towards what you are going to face in the future!

That being said, “To every thing there is a season, and a  time to every purpose under the heaven….”(Ecclesiastes 3:1-8)

God wants us to do His will in His way in His timing.

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:35-39)

Moses was a leader in training, but he wasn’t ready yet. He had lost his people. He had lost his reputation. But he had not lost God. What looked like the end was actually the beginning.

Forty years later, God appointed Moses to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt. What Moses did not realize was that God had been preparing him during that time. Notice what God said to him: “I am the God of your father-the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob” (Exodus 3:6).

Only a fool will not recognize God’s appointed time or learn from life’s experiences. To live a victorious life, you must acknowledge and experience God’s different seasons, and to know God’s will, you must be ‘Born-Again’ and filled with the Holy Spirit.

“How do I do this?” you might ask; confess your sins, ask God for  forgiveness, confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in Your heart He died on the cross and rose again. Amen and Amen.

What is your season right now?

Scripture of the day: My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. ~ James 1:2-4
