“I have proclaimed the good news of righteousness In the great assembly; Indeed, I do not restrain my lips, O Lord, You Yourself know. 10 I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart; I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation; I have not concealed Your lovingkindness and Your truth From the great assembly.”
So what about you my Christian brothers and sisters, have you restrained you lips from proclaiming the righteousness and faithfulness of Jesus Christ? I’m talking about your testimony!
Every believer has a testimony. Some are dramatic and include radical and seismic shifts in lifestyle and thinking. Others are the sweet story of growing up in a Christian home with gospel truth ever-present from infancy. No matter the personal history, every Christian should be able to tell of the work of God in the heart to bring the “light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ” (2 Corinthians 4:6).
Do you ever question why you’re on the path that you’re on? Because God wants to transform you, He allowed your life to follow the path it did before you became a believer in order that you would recognize His work at some point along the way. Now, seeing it, you are responsible to tell others what He has done. That is your Christian testimony! Maybe you’ve been a Christian for an hour, a day, or for years. What is He doing in your life now? That is your Christian testimony. You are an eyewitness to the works of Jesus Christ in your life.
Anyone who is a believer in Jesus Christ has or will face pain, loss, trials and affliction of many kinds. Yet, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds…” (James 1:2) Just know that you can overcome anything through Jesus Christ, the blood of the lamb. “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony…” (Revelations 12:11) You cannot overcome anything without your Testimony. Do you realize that God has a purpose in everything you face in life? You have a testimony. Are you ready to testify to the Power of God in your life?
“And they overcame him…” him is the devil. sharing your story can defeat Satan!! Now, that’s true power! Not only is it powerful, but it offers hope to others going through the same struggles as you. You’ll be amazed at how many experiences we share as Christians. But how will we know if we keep our experiences to ourselves?
Don’t ever underestimate the power of your testimony. Don’t ever shy away from telling the story of God’s grace in your life. Don’t ever tire of hearing of the work of the gospel in the lives of other believers. And don’t ever shy away from “being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you.” (1 Peter 3:15)
You have a testimony. Perhaps your testimony is of God’s love, God’s forgiveness, God’s deliverance or God’s protection. Whatever you’ve been through, good or bad, you have a testimony.
We have hundreds of readers a day, please share your testimony on our blog. If you lead just one soul to Christ, that’s a testimony! click here.
Be blessed in Jesus Name. Amen!
Scripture of the day: “For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” ~ 2 Corinthians 4:6
