AN EFFECTIVE NEW YEAR RESOLUTION…

Dear family of Christ,

May this new year be a year of a double portion everything! May you be strengthened to complete your resolutions. May The Lord renew your strength for greater achievements.
Rejoice for our God is with us and have revealed what He is doing for us already. Thus says The Lord; “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland”. (Isaiah 43:19 NIV)

Every New Year, many of us have penned down some resolutions of our do’s and don’ts, but as the year starts to inch in, most of those promises begin to edge out ineffectively. Why?

From experience, it is true that man is a being of emotions; by this I mean that when we are in pain, we start to seek a solutions and when our pains subsides, we forget the genesis, costs and the lesson! (This can be argued, but it is 100% true)

As a Christian, you must be able to at lease know the word and promises of your father, God and Savior. As a “… Lamp under your feet and a light on your path”, let them guide and guard your heart. God’s faithfulness honors every word His child pronounces, especially when it has to do with setting our lives towards doing His will. It makes God happy each time we do His will, and in His will are all the plans He has for us.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart”. (Jeremiah 29:11-13 NIV)
When we truthfully make any New Year Resolutions, it came through the Holy Spirit. He is the Spirit of change. As our strength to overcome, the Holy Spirit will never leave us alone to those resolutions, but throughout will constantly reminds us ways of achieving them. This means, for the year 2014, walking without God, His Word (Jesus Christ) and the Holy Spirit (the Power to Overcome), those vows and resolutions are useless, and before the end of the year will add more pains than your heart desires. Stick to the plans. Repent and be “Born-Again”. Find a Bible-Based Church to be a member.

Remember, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son”. (John 3:16, 18 NIV)

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers”. (III John 1:2 NKJV)

One scripture verse always in your memory a day keeps all the demons away.  You can start with Philippians 4:8. He will clean you up to make way for all the other goodies. Praise The Lord.

Happy New Year! Have a prosperous 2014!!

Knowing What God Wants For Us

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5-6

I meditated long and hard on Proverbs 3:5-6, wondering…how many of us, at some point in  our lives wanted someone or something so bad that we were willing to sacrifice everything for it, or for him or her? And, regardless of how much we pour into this thing or that person, It just doesn’t seem to work. I’m sure many of us have been there…If you’re honest with yourself…

Sometimes we talk ourselves into a new truth when God’s truth about someone or something has already been presented to us. What we think we want or need is not always what God wants for us. He already knows the beginning and the end of everything. Thats why we are not to lean to our own understanding.  Matthew 6:33 tells us to, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” When we present our plans to God, He will guide us in to His righteousness. Remember, “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.”(Matthew 7:13) Oftentimes what we chase after is guided by an easy road which is led by the devil, because he knows it will lead to destruction. He’s just deceiving us by leading us to believe we will be happy by taking this route. Yes, you will experience some pleasure for the moment, but I can tell you from experience, It is short-lived!

Serving God is not always about our personal pleasure. To be a living sacrifice is to suffer sometimes.  That is what Jesus Christ did for us, He suffered. He paid the ultimate price for us. Believe it or not, we will have to go without, we simply will not get everything we THINK we want and need. Suffering is for a reason. God led the Israelites to the wilderness for a reason, and that reason was for them to know that God is God. “For I am the Lord, I change not…”(Malachi 3:6)

May God bless you this morning, or evening for my international readers.

Healing Through Forgiveness

“For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins” — Matthew 6:14-15

For perfect healing, we need to learn to forgive others. According to God, we are not judges. We should love all men, forgive all men and embrace all men as our Savior Jesus Christ did for us. Remember, “…Obedience is better than sacrifice.” Oftentimes, we experiment on the word of God, but the fact is that God’s word should be accepted entirely by faith. To forgive, you must let it all go, not some, but all! It is impossible to forgive all if you do not love, as well as knowing what God’s will is. If you can not give what you do not have, you then must learn to receive so that you can give; this is to say that if you do not forgive yourselves for your errors, it is hard for you to let others off the hook when they offend you. Also, Satan will build a workshop in our minds, feeding us with his lies. Then comes the hurt, disobedience, and the quest for vengeance will crash the entire biochemistry…sickness.

So, what do we do? 1 John 1:9 tells us, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” The word “confess” simply means to tell God your struggles, and receive a healing and forgiveness from Him for appointing yourself a judge. Once you make this confession, trust God for your heart desires, and never look back.

Jesus died for our sins…and by His stripes, we are healed. As Christians, we are instructed to follow the footsteps of our master and savior Jesus Christ. “Then Jesus said, “Father forgive them, for they do not know what they do…”(Luke 23:34)

Are you struggling with unforgiveness? “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,” (Acts 3:19) This is called being a born again believer. A renewed member of the household of faith, a child of God and the one that pleases Him. An ambassador of Jesus Christ, and a royal priesthood, A Christian…

Stop!!! Before You Seek Revenge…

Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. (Romans 12:19 NIV)

Imagine if we lived in a world where everyone sought revenge every time someone wronged them…imagine that! What would this world look like?  Thank God some of us still believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. When you strive daily to have a Godly heart, it allows you to adopt the role of being the bigger person in every situation. Like it or not, someone will wrong you again; upset you, curse you, hurt you, disappoint you…Why? Simply because they are human. You are human too! We all have fallen short of God’s glory and if you say you have not, then you’re struggling with a prideful spirit. Stay tuned for what the bible has to say about that!

Love must be an action that we strive to do in every area of our lives, even to our enemies. Yup, that’s right, God commands that we love our enemies too! The bible also says, ”Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse…Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone…If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” (Romans 12:14,17,20,21)

Stop right now and think back on your past when Jesus showed up and worked everything out… Ask yourself, If he did it before, why would he leave me now? The answer is simple, He will never leave you or forsake you. So next time someone has wronged you, hurt you, cursed you, took vengeance against you and you’re ready to take matters in to your own hands, rest in the Lord Jesus Christ knowing that vengeance is HIS! Amen.

God bless you.

JESUS PAID IT ALL …

I THOUGHT IT ALL OVER, AND ALL I CAN SAY IS SIMPLY THAT JESUS PAID IT ALL….

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16 KJV)

When James gave advice to Christians world over, he said; “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,” (James 1:2 NKJV), he went ahead to illustrate the benefits of being thankful always. People with experience knew that trials build faith, and faith patience. Patience makes one perfect and perfection makes one complete. A complete person lacks nothing. (James 1:3,4) Since it is impossible for anyone of us to attain these virtues on our own, James directed us to God for the needed wisdom (v5), which is the fear of the Lord. (Psalm 111:10)

During my morning devotion, the Lord spoke to me as it relates to what I was asking of Him . He whispered, “Son, the price is paid for your everything.”  Like every son or daughter who have needs, it is normal to go to the person we know that can solve it, but might sound absurd in the  beginning  for the person to tell us that the problem is solved regardless that there is no physical manifestation.

As the Lord through the Holy Spirit lead me to the book of Isaiah 53, I could not help but weep all the way, yet still filled with a joy unspeakable. It is amazing how much everyone of us should owe God, but He chose to give us a non-repayable credit called GRACE through His Son Jesus Christ!

If you are a believer, you can easily relate to what I am about to say. It is not an easy road to faithfully walk as a Christian. Christianity is when our will ceases to exist, but that of God controls. Since obedience to the will of God is what reveals God’s plan to the faithful, to the unbelieving, it sounds foolish; just following the ‘footstep on the sand’! Apostle Paul put it this way; “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” (I Corinthians 1:18 NKJV). Since the mind that is not seasoned with Salt (a Believer) according to Psalm 14:1 insists on his/her will and not that of God, so many bad things not understood by man happens. Why? This is why; “And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” (Revelation 12:17 KJV). Whenever we take that bold step to follow Jesus Christ, Satan is mad, but staying on the path of faith opposes the whole attacks of the enemy.

As a Christian, there are some important information you need to know:

1. It is hard for anyone without Christ and the love of God to accept, help or believe you or the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Isaiah 53:1)

2. Due to the disciplines you will attain obeying the will of God, a lot of people around you will think you a fool (though the reverse is the case), hence despise and reject you (Isaiah53:2,4)

3. In Jesus Christ alone is our full joy. Love of the world and things of the world brings trials and tribulations, and as well, makes us an enemy to God.(John 16:33, Isaiah 53:3-4)

4. Remember that Christ died for all mankind. Do not be the judge, but in truth, spread the good news. Only those that believe in Him are saved.(John 3:18)

5. On the Cross of Calvary, Jesus bought everything an everyday man needs. Every suffering, shame, sorrow, afflictions, chastisement, death, judgement, rejection etc He nailed to the Cross. (Isaiah 53:5-11) Therefore, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.” (Galatians 5:1 NKJV)

6. “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us”. (II Corinthians1:20 NKJV). Now, the question is; “Do you believe Jesus Christ to be the Messaiah?” John 1:1,4 wrote, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:1, 14 NKJV)
Do you believe….?

Faith Without Works Is Dead

“What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food.16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. 18 But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. 19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder. 20 You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? 21 Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. 23 And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend. 24 You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone. 25 In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? 26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.”

When we begin to move…take action in our lives, things will come.  We will start to see God’s will for us. When I began to get my life in order, my blessings started pouring down.  When I began to act like I wanted the things that I was praying for, when I began to serve the Lord in my life, when I started to put those things that I had put in God’s ear into position and in play, then I began to receive the things that were meant for me. You have to envision what you want and then move things around in your life to receive it.

The Bible says, if you believe that Jesus is lord , and confess it with your mouth, then you are saved.  If you have the faith of a mustard seed, you can speak to the mountain and say move and it will.  But after it moves, will you build your house in the spot that you spoke to the mountain, or will you keep moving until you reach your promised land?

If you have faith but no works, you simply cannot demonstrate to another that you have faith. That is the point James is making when he says, “Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works (James 2:18).” In other words, you still have the faith, you may not see the product of your faith if you never make a move to achieve them.

God will provide for you.  He did that while you where DEEP in sin.  God provided for the people of Israel for 40 years.  Only those who showed moving faith, the ones who knew that if they moved God would fight the battle until they entered into the promised land.   Now God wants to complete the process He has for your life.  So MOVE in your faith and know God, Jehovah Jireh your provider is waiting to guide you!

“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror…” — James 1:22,23

God bless you.

Love God With Your Whole Heart

Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’  This is the first and greatest commandment.” (Matthew 22:37-38)

Loving God with your whole heart is the key to everything in life. Your relationship with God affects everything and everyone in your life. It is impossible to love God too much; however, it is easy to fall short of loving Him with your whole heart. We are commanded to love God with our whole heart. Only when you are thankful to God with your whole heart do you really love Him with your whole heart. That means you must be thankful for everything in your life, past and present, good and bad. Thankfulness is a gauge that measures your heart condition; it reveals anything which is blocking your love for God. Thankfulness to God is an indication of a heart that has right standing before Him. Out of a thankful heart flow expressions of love to God, including praise, worship, and obedience. Only God can make us whole, which is why we must give our hearts completely to Him.

When we fail to love God with our whole heart, we leave ourselves vulnerable to the seduction of the enemy. What do I mean by that? See, satan only needs a piece of you, he doesn’t need all of you to destroy you. What happens when parts of our body stop functioning? We are left broken. What happens next becomes a domino effect, we slowly start to break beyond repair. This is exactly what the devil wants…to break us. We can not function properly if we are not whole.

Psalm 139:23-24 says, “Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.” Sometimes we have things hidden so deep in our hearts, we don’t even know it’s there; unforgiveness, anger, bitterness, jealousy and any other spiritual condition that opens a door for Satan and closes the door to God. God cannot work his miracles in our lives if we do not submit our whole being to Him.

Whatever you’re facing, good and bad, Thank God! God says in everything give thanks for this is His will for you in Christ Jesus. If there is a part of your heart that is unthankful and therefore does not love God you may be preventing the Lord from moving on your behave. When you become thankful then that part of your heart loves God and the Lord can now make any circumstance into a testimony. As long as you hold on to pain, being unthankful, it can not work out for good because you do not love God with your whole heart… “Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord,  always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

God bless you today.

Life Without A Plan

“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established” (Proverbs 16:3)

Believe it or not, everyone that does not have or live within a crafted plan, or follow the already established divine plans of the Lord, is bound to be a failure. Though the visible is glittering…the outcome will always end in shambles. A life without a plan includes decisions that are rash, premature, emotional and not concrete. In the end, nothing tangible will come of it. Again, for every believer, having a plan is advised, and if presented to God, it will prosper.

Planning is a very crucial virtue. As people made in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26), it is a rule to live a life guided by a plan, God’s plan. The scripture reminds us that God has a plan for us, a plan of good, to prosper us and that of a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). In God’s plan, He promised that we will not be harmed. Again, giving us a Savior testified to this divine promise of God’s fulfillment for all mankind. What a loving God we have!

As we always say in our Church, “Christ(less) = CRISES.” God wants us to present our plans to Him that are within His will for approval, and at the same time, live a life according to His plans. For example, going to Hell is not God’s will for anyone, but whoever rejects His Son, Jesus Christ is already heading that way. “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”(John 3:18 KJV) Remember that Jesus is the Word of God made flesh. (John 1:1,14) To live a purposeful life, He must be the center of us, then His Spirit (Holy Ghost) will teach us all things. (John 14:26)

Everything we need is in the word. Joshua commanded the people of God to embrace the word of God “IF” they want to be blessed. He said, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” (Joshua 1:8 KJV) Both prosperity and good success is a gift of God to those that exalt His plans. Do you uphold God’s plan or better yet, do your plans agree with God’s will?

Every plan not followed as planned will fail. For example, when an architect designs a building, the plan is given to the building engineer who now instructs and supervise the builders. Among this team are people of every level; educated and stack illiterates who by trade acquired skills and experience in their Jobs. In the end, a solid, beautiful home is built. If along the line any of the designed plan is omitted, though not noticed at the foundational level, it will definitely show at the completed level.

I said this to remind us that ignoring any of the steps in God’s plan will always result in a crises that we are not equipped to handle. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.” (Hosea 4:6 NKJV)

Remember that God is the Creator and partnering with Him without doubt brings fruitfulness and peace with joy eternally. He said, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33 KJV) “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” (John 15:7 KJV)

Did you ask without receiving? Abide in God’s word, and it shall be well with you. God bless you.

Are You A Question Or A Statement?

My question to you today is, are you a question or a statement? I’ll explain further, but first I want you to take a few minutes and really think about this question…

Ok, now lets dig deeper…In Genesis 3:1 satan asked the first question,  “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” This question was asked for one reason only…To create doubt and question God’s authority, which ultimately leads to double mindedness. The technical definition for doubt is; To be undecided or skeptical about, To tend to disbelieve; distrust, To regard as unlikely. As you can see, doubt is completely contrary to FAITH. Faith is the foundation of your spiritual journey. So I ask again, are you a question or a statement?

We have all found ourselves in a situation where we question who we are or the situation that we are in…

Why did God make me this way?
Why am I in this situation?
Why is God not answering me?
Will I ever be happy?
Will I ever have peace?
Will God ever heal me?

These are all doubtful questions! We are to be a statement! Meaning, we are to state who we are in Christ. We are to state and stand on His promises and believe. “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.” ( 2 Corinthians 1:20)

So from now on STATE…

Jesus is the answer to my question!
Jesus is the solution to my problem!
God loves me!
I am blessed!
God created me in His image!
By His stripes I am healed!
I have peace in Jesus Christ!
God will answer me in His time!
No weapon formed against me shall prosper!
This battle is not mine, it’s The Lords!

There are many people lacking direction in their life because they have moved into the question side of themselves instead of the statement side of themselves which is the word of God. You will never go further in God until you see yourself the way God sees you.

Believe it or not, sometimes the devil will use other people to create doubt. Has someone ever asked you a question or made a statement that caused you to question yourself? or worse, created fear? For example…

It’s not necessary to go to church every Sunday…
Are you sure this is what God wants for you?
Do you really drive that far just to go to church?
You will never finish that…
Are you sure your husband is where he says he is?
I don’t think they appreciate you at work?
I don’t think you will be good at that..

Remember, The Devil will always try to uproot and substitute!

So, are you a question or a statement?

I pray that you are “fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised.” (Romans 4:21) In Jesus name I pray. Amen and Amen. God bless you!
