Healing Through Forgiveness

“For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins” — Matthew 6:14-15

For perfect healing, we need to learn to forgive others. According to God, we are not judges. We should love all men, forgive all men and embrace all men as our Savior Jesus Christ did for us. Remember, “…Obedience is better than sacrifice.” Oftentimes, we experiment on the word of God, but the fact is that God’s word should be accepted entirely by faith. To forgive, you must let it all go, not some, but all! It is impossible to forgive all if you do not love, as well as knowing what God’s will is. If you can not give what you do not have, you then must learn to receive so that you can give; this is to say that if you do not forgive yourselves for your errors, it is hard for you to let others off the hook when they offend you. Also, Satan will build a workshop in our minds, feeding us with his lies. Then comes the hurt, disobedience, and the quest for vengeance will crash the entire biochemistry…sickness.

So, what do we do? 1 John 1:9 tells us, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” The word “confess” simply means to tell God your struggles, and receive a healing and forgiveness from Him for appointing yourself a judge. Once you make this confession, trust God for your heart desires, and never look back.

Jesus died for our sins…and by His stripes, we are healed. As Christians, we are instructed to follow the footsteps of our master and savior Jesus Christ. “Then Jesus said, “Father forgive them, for they do not know what they do…”(Luke 23:34)

Are you struggling with unforgiveness? “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,” (Acts 3:19) This is called being a born again believer. A renewed member of the household of faith, a child of God and the one that pleases Him. An ambassador of Jesus Christ, and a royal priesthood, A Christian…
